Working at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER)

This role is based at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER), one of Europe’s most important transport hubs, where you’ll delight travellers with donuts and specialty coffee in a dynamic, international workplace.

We have a dedicated team that is covering the busy early shifts at our airport store. Currently the shifts are:

• 03:45–11:45

• 04:00–10:00

• 04:30–12:30

If you like a good morning rush and getting your work done early, this could be a great fit for you.

About you

• You love great customer service and know how to put a smile on people's faces

• You genuinely want to work early shifts (starting as early as 03:45) long-term, and enjoy the airport's lively, international pace

• You are trustworthy, reliable, and punctual

• You have (or can quickly get) a health/food hygiene certificate

• Speak English and German

• Hospitality or coffee experience is a plus, but not required — we value reliability and willingness to learn

• You are available on weekends/public holidays when scheduled, and at least 2–3 days (16–20 hours, no minijobs) per week

• You are willing to complete the airport security clearance process (we support you throughout, find more information below)

• You are ok with starting your training in our store at Berlin Central Station while you wait for security clearance

• You are available to help out occasionally on later shifts

Transportation to the airport

BER is well connected to the city by public transport.
Direct trains between Berlin Central Station, Potsdamer Platz and Südkreuz run early in the morning and get you to the airport within minutes.

If you have a car and drive to your airport shifts, we also pay for your parking at the airport.

Airport Security Clearance

For working at the airport, all team members need to apply for an airport ID badge (Flughafenausweis) and a security clearance according to §7 LuftSiG.
You will need to supply information about your places of residence and work of the last 5 to 10 years and may be required to provide a certificate of good conduct.
Don’t worry — we fully support you throughout the entire process and guide you step by step.
While we wait for security clearance, your Front of House training will start in our store at Berlin Central Station.

• Hourly starting wage of €14.30, based on the current collective wage agreement for system gastronomy, with clear pay levels and regular raises plus tips

• Tax-free shift bonuses: +25% for early morning hours (4–6am) and ALL hours worked on Sundays, as well as +100% on public holidays in Brandenburg

• Different and flexible time modules (working students / part-time varying from 16-20 up to 30-37.5 hours), with shifts focused exclusively on early mornings

• Deutschlandticket for only €11 per month, covering your commute to BER Airport and giving you unlimited public transport for private use across Germany - alternatively, if you prefer to drive, we can provide you with a parking ticket for your car at the airport
